I am in awe not having to share my thoughts with my yelp community about this establishment. Sorry as these guys are great, along with putting out quality flavorful food. I've been hooked for years now.
Authentic Filipino flavors along with authentic preparation. You won't be dissapointed.
If you desire a home cooked meal for yourself, or to cater your memorable events, call and speak to Juliet. (Owner)
As family loving as she is, Juliet remains hands on, along with ensuring that what DJ puts out is nothing less than excellent. She remains hands on, for a reason that benefits us food lovers.
I suggest you drop by and sample the various excellent Filipino inspired dishes and flavors. You won't be disappointed.
Keep it up Juliet, love, love, love your food along with it's authentic flavor. Highly recommended.
Thank you,
Nash -

DJ Bibingkahan is a typical turo-turo: Food in heating trays served cafeteria-style, a TV showing Filipino news, and tables of people keeping to themselves and enjoying a hot meal after a long day at work. It's a no frills, hole-in-the-wall type of eatery.
FOOD:
Ginisang Ampalaya, Bistek, and Rice: Both were decent. The bistek was plentiful, tender, and saucy. However, it could definitely use more vinegar and maybe a tad bit more soy sauce. For the most part, however, it was good. The Ginisang Ampalaya was standard and nothing special; I've had better, but I've also had worse.
Longganisa, Bistek, and Rice: All 3 links of longganisa were cooked well, had a good ratio of fat-to-meat, and was decent-sized. The comments for the bistek were similar.
Ginataang Langka, Lechon Kawali, and Rice: Probably the better of the items we picked. The Ginataan Langka was tasty, flavorful, thoroughly cooked, and plentiful; it was my favorite out of everything. As for the lechon kawali, I received a good amount. I thought the lechon was pretty good, tender, and seasoned well.
SERVICE:
The ladies behind the counter are friendly, but that's pretty much it. One thing I'd like to see is the staff keeping the tables clean or at least free of trays and used plates. It's a turn-off to see dirty tables the moment you walk into a table.
DJ Bibingkahan serves decent food. I've been to their West Covina location a few times, and the quality of food here is the same. -

Went here to try some food for to go I was almost half way done with my food and my son just finished his plate. We got monggo, ground pork and pork Adobe with rice. I had to ask if what really I'm seeing here. They said they're MAGGOTS!!!!!!! People there were very nice but the food is disgusting!! I'm sorry but it is never going back here!

Before we go we called them first to see if they have kalderetang kambing and they said yes but when we went, freaking people said they don't have it!
Why would you say yes we have it at first. And then the shrimp paste we ordered has mold in it food is oily. Never going back to this place. LIARS!!!! -

I noticed that some of the dishes seems to be few days old. Its very dry, unappetizing and unappealing.
Its sad coz this is the only filipino restaurant near my place, the quality with regards to food and cutomer service is totally not there anymore
